Coir Board
Coir Board is a legal entity of the Board of directors of India established under the Act passed in Legislature namely Coir Industry Act 1953 (45 of 1953) for the growth and progress of coconut industry in India and abroad.Attracted by the Coir Board under the authority of the central government and is responsible for the production of cocoa, coconut coir yarn makes exporters of coconut products and other appropriate measures. The Board also took part in the collection of statistical data for manufacturers and distributors of coconut products and other people that everything can be related to the coconut industry.
What is Coir
Coir is the outer coating of skin that circles the conch of the coconut. It made mainly of fibers, traditionally
does well, rugs, mats, cushion material, brushes etc.between the fibers is a substance called brainless
coconut or coconut core, recently named a superior environment for growing tomatoes, roses and many
other plants. The coir industry often call it coco-peat substrate (or cocopeat) or coir-peat.Sometimes names
sound the same.
A Typical Production Process
All coconut skull is macerated in water and fiber from the plant for the production of fiber brushes, rope,rugs,mats and the Coir pith is not used and is the product of fiber optic facilities. Depending on many factors, including climatic conditions, the macerating method and specific processes in the coconut plant.If the quality comes from coconut, coconut and fruit pulp then moved through several cleaning processes,including sieving to remove large fibres and unwanted particles such as sand and grit. Filter and the size of the particles is determined by the customer. In essence, coconut crops at this time of unwanted salt must be
reduced before they dry. In coconut then compressed to a more limited form suitable for delivery. It may take the form of growth bags, 650 g of small briquettes or larger unit. Compression will vary depending on the needs of users, but usually from 4.01 bis 08.01 hours. In the process, sampling and testing of internal labs to ensure that each party the required conditions.
